Renatus Chalonius

René of Chalon (5 February 1519 – 15 July 1544), also known as Renatus of Chalon, was a Prince of Orange and stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht and Gelre. In 1544, René took part in the siege of St. Dizier in the service of Emperor Charles V. He was mortally wounded in battle and died with the Emperor attending at his bedside. René was buried in Grote Kerk in Breda, near the resting-place of his infant daughter. A commemorative monument (Cadaver Tomb of René of Chalon) stands in the church of St. Etienne in Bar-le-Duc.

we find the chart of the sky in the ephemeris of Stadius (Ephemerides Novae, Avctae, etc. De deductionibus sive directionibus... p. 16) and in Junctinius (cap. 12, 405, 1554, 1570). ALMUTEN

SPECULUM

See that SU - hyleg - is detrimental and JU retrograde. The only positive planet is VE.

RAYS

ALCHOCODEN

About the alchocoden: in principle we have the choice between MA and MO. Remember that the hyleg is weak; examination of the properties of MO and MA shows that the scores are identical (-18) and that the two are peregrine. Both are cadent.

PRIMARY DIRECTIONS

1)- (m) #MO conj MA

Recall : #MO is a mundane contra-parallel, first computed in mundo ; then in zodiaco. The dashed line corresponds to the visualization of the countra-parallel. The direction is converse.

We have another mode of representation of primary direction : the local mundane system, adopted by Max Duval (in les Moyens de pronostic en astrologie, p. 53-55, Editions Traditionnelles, 1986).

See results according to the three systems of domification. And the chart :

Here, we see the 'domitudes' according to the Campanus system. The directions are always represented by conjunctions. For instance Y = 28.26 with diff = 1.51. Recall that we can't properly saying that numeration is in 'degrees'. More properly, we can say that it is 'horary distance'.

2)- VE conj SA

The following table shows the three main systems of equating time, relative to the current direction (dynamic time).

note that, as on other occasions, the AR system or the equation of time (EQUTi) seems to give the best results.

3)- (z) □SA conj SU

It is a zodiacal direction, as SU is on ecliptic.

As before, we see below the local mundane table and diagram:

As we see, it is a converse direction. (SU conj □SA).
