Farrow Amelia (Worsdale 222)

Farrow Amelia (Worsdale 222)

Born in Lincoln, on the 2nd of March 1799 at 6:45 AM ; departed his life on thz 4th of October 1821 ; aged twenty-five years, seven months and two days.

The Directions that destroyed the Life of this Native, were, the Sun Hyleg, to the Parallels of Mars in Mundo, by Direct, and Converse Motion, and also to the Zodiacal Parallel of Mercury, and Bodies of the Moon, and Mars, with the Parallel of Mars' Declination, the Mundane Square of Saturn, and Quartile of the Moon in the World, by Direct Direction; and though the rays of Jupiter interposed in the Mortal train, he was unable to abate the influence thereof, being afflicted by the furious Directions of the Malefics at the time of Death, by which his benevolent qualities were destroyed, both in strength, and operation, so that he could not render any assistance to preserve Life, though he properly specified the quality of Death, of which I need not make any comments, having (in preceding Examples,) stated the nature of the Mortal diseases, produced by that Star, when his power was overcome by obnoxious rays. [John Worsdale, Celestial Philosophy, 228]

I. Natal chart

ASC PIS, ruler JU, but in conjunction with MA in TAU. SU in fall (PIS). So it can't be hyleg and same for MO, in cadent and in exile (CAP). Moreover, MO is debilitated by opposition to SA in exile (CAN). MA is debilitated (TAU) ; Sa and MA exchange a mundane //.
MC SAG, ruler JU.

The ALMUTEN is VE, according to Ibn-Ezra, Omar and Lilly. VE is the only 'good fortunate' planet (being in exalt, PIS).

I am returning for the moment to the study of the zodiacal parallels because the study of the mundane parallels requires three different sub-studies (Campanus, Regiomontanus and Placidus) if one wants to compute a comparative work, which is a huge task. Unless you choose a particular type of houses. For instance, Max Duval has chosen evidently the Campanus houses.

Willoughby Robert (Worsdale 213)

WILLOUGHBY Robert (Worsdale 213)

According to John Worsdale, this young man was born in Hull (Est Yorkshire) 30th of September 1797, at 8 AM, and was drowned in returning from a voyage, on the fith of January 1814, aged sixteen years, three months and six days.

I. Natal chart

Attention is attracted by the presence of 4 cadent planets. SU is in loose opposition with JU. ME and VE are in house I and VE is partly ruler of the ASC (it must also be counted with MA). VE is debilitated, in fall (SCO); SU is fall. SA is in narrow square with JU, looser with SU. The ruler of MC is SU and MO is opposite MC and square with ME. (the aspects are counted on the zodiac).

According to Lilly, the ALMUTEN is SA ; according to Ibn-Ezra and Omar (viz Morinus), it is JU.

So, we have to focuse our attention on VE, JU and SU. Observe that we have mundane // VE-JU.

II. Primary directions

A. □JU conj SA

 1. compute mundane □JU in zodiaco

- mundane □JU domitude Campanus = 258.94°
- L(z) □JU = 117.48° CAN
- latitude = - 0.332° according to l(z) = tan(dist) x cos(lat_m) where dist = L(JU) - L(z)□JU = 101° and lat_m = 1.635°

 B. JU opp ASC

D = OA(JU) - OA(DSC) = |8.71 - 25.04| = 16.32 Y (1814).

Conclusion

Thus, we observe two major directions coinciding with the event: JU square SA and JU opp ASC. The nature of these arcs is in accordance with the planetary dignities according to Ibn-Ezra or Omar.

WW Worsdale 203

Born in the city of Lincoln, March 11th, 1802, 20h 12 PM and died on the 2nd of June 1823, aged twenty-one years, two months and twenty-one days. [Celestial philosophy, 200].

B. □MO conj SA

Here, we have a mundane □MO which has the particularity oh having 27.87° of equator ! This is, naturally, because of the Campanus system... It is very interesting because we can test in this case two systems of latitude. The so-called 'deutsch system' (H.J. Gouchon talks about in his 'L'Horoscope annuel simplifié' (Dervy-Livres, 1973) and the system recommended by Max Duval (the converse mundane directions).

1. compute mundane □MO
- MO campanus domitude = 35.51° without latitude (the latitude of MO = + 5.169°).
- if we take the system of Max Duval, we have MO = 23.36° (with lat + 5.169).
L(z) □MO = 121.65° LEO.
- if we take the other system, we must therefore compute separately the latitude according to :

l(z) = DEGRES(ATAN(COS(RADIANS(delta))*TAN(RADIANS(lat_m))))

where delta is the distance between MO and the ray. In zodiaco, this distance is 90°. In mundo, here, the distance is L(MO) - L(□MO) = 27.87°. and lat_m : l(z) = 4.53°.
So L(z) □MO = 122.29° LEO.

There is a 3rd system, commented and criticized by Morin de Villefranche, passim Bianchini (Astrologia Gallica, book 16, p.21 and sq., trans. by James Holden, 2008). Max Duval talks a lot about this system in 'Les Moyens de pronostic en astrologie' (Ed. Traditionnelles, 1985).

The next is the Geniture of a Gentleman, who was Born near Boston,. October 7th# 1789, 13h.0 m. PM; 'find died on the 15th of August, 1814, aged.twenty-four years, ten Months, and seven days.

This Native had acquired considerable knowledge in this department of Astronomy, which the Astral significators of Science, &c. exhibit in the following Figure of his Birth, His noble and excellent qualifications, and pious demeanour were such, that all those who had the pleasure of his acquaintance, soon became convinced of his superior Talents in Literature, which, combined with a dignified Mind, free from Pride, and ostentation, truly adorn the character of the Scholar, and the Gentleman. He was not much attached to the sports of the Field, yet he sometimes accompanied ray Father in Shooting, and Coursing, in the liordships of Helpringham, Hale, Heckington, Swaton, Scredington, Spanby, and Donington, &c. &c. [John Worsdale, Celestial Philosophy, 19]

I. Natal chart

We saw a mundane # between SU and MO and a mundane square between MO and SA. SU and MO are debilitated, as SU is LIB and VE is SCO. The ruler of ASC is SU and the ruler of MC is VE. According to Lilly, the ALMUTEN is JU (house I) ; according to Ibn-Ezra and Omar, it is Ve or SA... Worsdale thinks that the HYLEG is MO.

Henri d'ARTOIS (Worsdale 188)

Henri d'ARTOIS (Worsdale 188)

Henri, Count of Chambord ; 29 September 1820 – 24 August 1883) was disputably King of France from 2 to 9 August 1830 as Henry V, although he was never officially proclaimed as such. Afterwards, he was the Legitimist pretender to the throne of France from 1844 to 1883.
Henri was the posthumous son of Charles Ferdinand, Duke of Berry, younger son of Charles X of France, by his wife, Princess Carolina of Naples and Sicily, daughter of King Francis I of the Two Sicilies. As the grandson of the King Charles X of France, Henri was a Petit-Fils de France. He also was the last legitimate descendant in the male line of Louis XV of France (His grandfather Charles X was a grandson of Louis XV). [wikipedia]

He death in 1883 and has been ill probably since 1879. Stomach cancer has been reported but is more likely to have had chronic renal failure.

The geniture chart is mentioned in the Celestial philosophy (p. 188)  of  John Worsdale.

I. Natal chart

We immediately notice the quadrature aspect that emerges from the three sets formed by (ME, SU), SA and MO. SU and SA are in fall; MO, MA and JU are rather strong, with the reserve near their earth disposition (MA cadent, MO succeedent). The disposition of the houses makes the mundane and zodiacal square practically identical.

The study of the primary directions is thus oriented towards the fragility of the disposition of the planets due to this quadrature radix.

According to Lilly, ALMUTEN is MA. But one may wonder whether it would not be more judicious to choose JU, which is angular (which is what the methods of Ibn-Ezra and Omar reveal).

I remind you that in case of chronic illness, it is from an astrological point of view - and medical - perfectly logical to consider the directions around the death, but - as far as possible - the beginning of the disease; this is not always possible. This is what ancient astrologers call a climateric era.
