Henry VIII (2) - power of zodiacal parallels

Henry VIII - the power of zodiacal parallels

It will not escape the reader that our attention has gradually focused on the mundane parallels with latitude. However, on examining the listing of directions in the Morinus software, we noticed disturbing coincidences between the time of onset of illness (or death) and zodiacal parallels involving quite specifically SU, MO and VE with SA and MA. . It therefore seemed useful to us to give some examples in order to examine as rigorously as possible this hypothesis concerning the zodiacal parallels (without latitude).

Attention should be drawn to the lack of latitude; this option will be maintained throughout this research, on a trial basis.

Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh

(30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. In just over a decade he created about 2,100 artworks, including around 860 oil paintings, most of them in the last two years of his life. On 27 July 1890, aged 37, Van Gogh shot himself in the chest with a 7mm Lefaucheux à broche revolver. There were no witnesses and he died 30 hours after the incident.

This chart, very close to itself, very narrow, is characteristic of those found in psychopaths. At the same time as very rich potentialities, as shown by the arrangement in mutual exaltation (SU, MO, SA), we observe other more disturbing findings: the quadrature aspects near MC, touching VE-MA of one side and MO-JU on the other, where we also find cauda draconis. See Chet Baker chart for another example of stiff disposition.

ALMUTEN score

MA is ALMUTEN.

DISPOSITION planet

We observe 3 peregrine planets : MO, ME and SA.

DISPOSITION rays

We have tried in this table to make a mixture between elements used by Georges Muchery [Astrologie Judiciaire, Le Chariot, 1971] and others that allow us to weight, by using both the nature of the rays, of the so-called heavenly value of the planets and of the arrangement in the house. The whole gives indications on the strength of an aspect: thus TRI can be reduced to 0 in certain cases, or SQUARE can, again, see its load decrease. We use the following empirical formula:

aspect MO TRI ME
- aspect value (AV) = 120 = 4

- celestial value (Vc MO) = 3 and Vc ME = -8
_ mALM_MO = 0.34 - mALM ME = -0.08 (where mALM = median of each sub-total score ALMUTEN)

for instance,
- mALM ME = -1/12 = -0.08 (-1 = total dignities for ME and 12 = median almuten score) ;
- mALM MO = 4.1/12 = 0.34.

AV x VcA [0.5 or 1 if VcA < 0] x ABS [VcA/10 x m ALM_A] + VcB [0.5 or 1 if VcB < 0] x ABS [VcB/10 x mALM_B]
 = 0.54.

Observe that the initial score is 4. But, MO and ME are peregrine, MO is cadent, ME succedent and retrograde, etc. So, it is possible that TRI, in this case, does not have the expected power of the trigone ...

HYLEG score

For once, the hyleg is easy to find: SU. So, ALCHOCODEN is VE.

ALCHOCODEN score :

- We take VE greater value : 82 Y.

Substract :

- 5 #MA-VE
- 13.33 # MA-SYG

note that the # counter-parallels (und parallels) are not usually taken into account in the count for alchocoden; the parallels, however, have an importance that seems comparable to other major aspects.

then :

Yt = -15 - 6 + 82 -5 -13.33 = 42.6 Y (Van Gogh is dead at 37 years).

Celestial philosophy, p. 178

The next is the Nativity of a young Lady. who was born at Boston, in the Country of Lincoln, on the 4th of May 1803, at twenty Minutes before eight o’ Clock ih the Morning; the above time fas given by her Friends, who informed me that I might depend on it being exact, as it was taken by a corrected Clock, with the greatest care. This Native died 6n the 11th of May, 1822, Aged nineteen Years, and seven Days.

The Dignity of Hyleg in this Geniture is claimed by Venus, who is not only in an Aphetical Place, but receives the proper Prorogatory power from every part of the Heavens, &c. which entitle her to possess that Dominion. I have computed the Anaretical Directions in full to the true giver of Life, not only to assist the genuine Student in his labors, but also to explain to him the vanity, and absurdity of selecting a false Prorogator, which is done in numberless cases, by which the fallacious Judgment of the Practiotioners is justly held in derision, and the invalidity of their $kill rendered contemptible to every Scientific observer in this department of Celestial Philosophy.

Morinus gives VE for ALMUTEN. I have pointed this time the counter-antiscious and notated that both SA and MO exchange an antiscia. I don't agree with Worsdale when he claims that VE is the hyleg. On the contrary: we observe that both Ve, JU or MA are in significant detriment (exil). SU and MO can't be hyleg. So :

- HYLEG : must be ASC in spite of the presence of MA in (I).
- ANAERETA : SA
- ALCOCODEN : SU (* ASC)

The ALMUTEN is MO.

Note : the #MO (without latitude) is in conjunction radix with SA : it is the ansticia.

'The literal meaning of the term is “counter-shadow" [...] The astrological term refers to the longitude of two planets positioned in opposite pairs of signs in the Aries-Virgo zodiac, which are “said to throw shadows on each other.” The ‘Enoch Zodiac’ model appears in Maternus' treatise Mathesis, Book 2, chapter 29,48 and according to Tester, it may he derived from Ptolemy's concept of signs which behold each other (Tetrabiblos, Book 1.15). Interestingly, Ptolemy explains the concept of “beholding" in terms of sundial theory, with a statement that each in the pair of signs concerned rises and sets in the same part of the horizon.

... because each of the pair rises from the same part of the horizon and sets in the same part. [Tetrabiblos, I, 15]

Neugebauer stated that Ptolemy mentioned the antiscion in his treatise, On the Analemma, with regards to the theory of sundials. Elsewhere, Neugebauer informs us that Ptolemy’s information in this text either did not exist, or if it did, it has not survived.' COCLITIS CHIROMANTIC

HIERONYMI CARDANI - DE EXEMPLIS CENTUM GENITURARUM

XVIII

  COCLITIS CHIROMANTIS (1467-1504)

1)- introduction

OF ROCCA, Bartholomew, called Cocles. - He was born, as he states, in Bologna on 19 March 1467.
The poor biographical news on D. are mainly contained in his main work, Chyromantie ac physionomie Anastasis, in which he provides some details about his short existence. In D. Proemio's work D. remembers the place and date of birth and later (book III, chapter 251) says he was an illegitimate son (some claim that his mother was a famous midwife of Bologna) who lived always poor (ibid., chapter 183), and as a boy did the barber (ibid., chapter 208). D. was known among his contemporaries, above all with the Latin nickname Cocles, which could mean "without an eye" (but this lack is not documented), both 'grim and crude of character and appearance': this second meaning of the term seems the right one, even on the basis of the testimonies of a few authors behind the Cocles, like Cardano. The name Cocles also printed all his works.
Since he was young, D. has shown a great deal for occult sciences, and at first his focus was on magical practices and the reading of books of necromancy and alchemy. However, soon after the lack of scientific foundation of these disciplines, D. turned to the study of medicine and surgery at the University of Bologna, where he graduated in 1489.
However, D.'s fame is not related to his profession of physician, but to the studies of chiromanzia and physiognomy to which he devoted himself with growing passion, especially after his encounter with the Aristotelian philosopher Alessandro Achillini, who had founded at the Studio bolognese a philosophical-naturalist school. The D. became part of the circle of the disciples of the Achilles, to whom he was deeply adored and with whom he shared the interest in occult sciences. Following the study and practice of these subjects, D. began to perform many vices and predictions with the aim of showing that through the scientific study of human characters it was possible to identify the fate of each one on a concrete basis, astrology operating instead on an abstract field.
Some predictions made by D. and timely occur, made him a big fame among his contemporaries. They began addressing him illustrious figures such as Galeazzo Sforza, brother of the Duke of Pesaro, and soon D. was invited to visit many cities of Romagna, called by their respective rulers, to preach their future. In a letter from Orazio Bicardi di Fano written to Alessandro Bentivoglio on 15 December. 1503 - which is another valuable source for rebuilding D.'s life - is said to have left his country house near Bologna, he first went to Imola, where he predicted the master of that city the end of his rule, then in Faenza, where he had a sad event for Astorgio di Faenza, who died shortly afterwards. From there he went to Rimini, Cesena and Pesaro and met also with the Duke of Urbino Guidubaldo. Also to Giulio Varano, Lord of Camerino, and his sons, he predicted a fateful destiny. But the fame of a prophet of misfortune prompted D. to drive him out of all the courts visited, forcing him soon to return home. In Bologna, for D. he began a period of tranquility, in which he could devote himself to the writing of his text on the physiognomy and coincidence, which began in about 1500 and which saw him engaged until June 28, 1504. On 4th of August, 1504 the work was printed at GA Benedetti in Bologna with the title of Chyromantie ac physionomie Anastasis, cum approbatione magistri A. Achillini. During this period D. also had the task of the Studio di Bologna to teach grammar, academic year 1503-04, to four "poor shameful" cities, without any remuneration, according to custom.
Twenty days after the publication of his work, on the 24th of September, 1504, D. died, in Bologna, assassinated almost certainly by the hand of an Antonio Caponi.

PARALLELES. There are two kinds of parallels : zodiacal and mundane. Zodiacal parallels are circles équidistant from the equator, namely, the beginning of ARIES and LIBRA, and consequently any two points of the zodiac haying equal déclination, whether of the same or the opposite kind are in zodiacal parallel with each other. Thus, a star in 2° of another in 28° degrees of CAPRI, anotber. in 2° of GEMINI and another in 28° of CANCER, would all be in zodiacal parallel to each other, because they would all have the same declination in the number of degrees and minutes, viz. 20° 38'. The two first are called antiscions, because they have the same declination in number and name, viz. 20° 38' south declination ; the others are also antiscions in the same way, as having 20° 38' north declination, but the two former are called contra antiscions to the two latter, because, although their declination is the same in number, it is different in name, one being north and the other south declination. Those having north declination are called commanding, and the Southern, obeying : because the north being nearer our zenith must be most powerful. An antiscion is held by some to have the effect ot a * or v and a contra antiscion that of a □ or o-o, but Placidus makes no such distinction. Schubert Franz

Franz Peter Schubert ; 31 January 1797 – 19 November 1828)

Introduction

He was an Austrian composer. Schubert died before his 32nd birthday, but was extremely prolific during his lifetime. His output consists of over 600 secular vocal works (mainly Lieder), seven complete symphonies, sacred music, operas, incidental music and a large body of chamber and piano music.
Appreciation of Schubert's music while he was alive was limited to a relatively small circle of admirers in Vienna, but interest in his work increased significantly in the decades following his death. Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann, Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms and other 19th-century composers discovered and championed his works. Today, Schubert is ranked among the greatest composers of the late Classical and early Romantic eras and is one of the most frequently performed composers of the early 19th century.

In the midst of this creative activity, his health deteriorated. The cause of his death was officially diagnosed as typhoid fever, though other theories have been proposed, including the tertiary stage of syphilis.[62] By the late 1820s, Schubert's health was failing and he confided to some friends that he feared that he was near death. In the late summer of 1828, the composer saw court physician Ernst Rinna, who may have confirmed Schubert's suspicions that he was ill beyond cure and likely to die soon. Some of his symptoms matched those of mercury poisoning (mercury was then a common treatment for syphilis, again suggesting that Schubert suffered from it). At the beginning of November, he again fell ill, experiencing headaches, fever, swollen joints, and vomiting. He was generally unable to retain solid food and his condition worsened. Schubert died in Vienna, aged 31, on 19 November 1828, at the apartment of his brother Ferdinand. [Wikipedia]

The first symptoms of syphilis seem to date back to 1823. It is interesting to analyze in particular the direction of Saturn and Venus, and Sun with Saturn.

I)- 1823

The Kassel symposium defined the crisis years as being from 1818 to 1823. The year 1823 was certainly to fit this definition, proving for Schubert to be a year of very serious illness - and extreme shortage of money. [...] In the early part of the year Schubert was extremely ill for several months with a recurrence of the secondary phase of his syphilis [© Arnold Howarth, The Schubert Institute (UK), 2002]

Schubert was the victim of several recurrences of secondary syphilis that year.

We find in 1823 the converse : SU conj # SA.

- parameters

- results

As in the previous two examples, the table above shows the detail of the directions corresponding to the current conversion key (here AR 0.98 and EQU 0.986). The table below shows all the results on all directions. It shows that there are 12 varieties of primary directions in progress in 1823, while there are none in the varieties of directions other than primary.

Given that the planetary conditions sometimes have a great influence on the arcs, I indicate each time whether the latitude is used. Note that the AO (oblique ascension) directions are sometimes used by astrologers like Lilly). Others (H. J. Gouchon) use the arcs in OA from the pole formulas, much like Makranski, especially in the calculation of the directions according to Regiomontanus.

2) Ve opp Sa conv

I often observe directions involving Venus and Saturn either when diseases are triggered or when death occurs; I have not so far observed any particular frequency involving venereal diseases (but this needs to be more documented).

- parameters

- results

We see that the results are equivalent between the two varieties of directions (primary and non-primary).

II)- 1828

Two directions are to be studied: Moon conj. Sun and Sun conj. #Sa with also another counter-parallel : #Ma conj SU. The first one is all the more interesting to consider as it will make us understand the problems related to an important latitude (Moon).

1)- MO conj SU

Here we have the direction: MO conj. SU. Consider first the arc with latitude (l = 5 ° 04'17 ") and note that here the Moon is the promissor (moving point).

- parameters

- results

I analyse in depth and quite exceptionally the results because it is, if not, difficult to understand the effects of the presence of a high latitude. And this is particularly the case for the Moon and Venus. so, we see the results with and without latitude

no latitude, prom SUN, sign MO (it is a converse direction for the mean astrologers, but it is a true direct with ancient astrologers).

no latitude, prom MO, sign SU (it is a direct direction).

And there is no arc with MO and latitude. Moreover, we see that the three converse directions of the first table become direct directions on the second.

2)- SU conj #Sa and #Ma conj SU

We see here a rather rare coincidence of two counterparts acting simultaneously: it is a converse direction of SU conj. #Sa and a direction of #Ma conj SU.

- parameters for SU conj #Sa

- results

Ten varieties of primary directional arcs versus five (there are duplicates in non-primary directions ...).

Conclusion

Statistical analysis can be carried out using tests for two or more samples. It takes just thirty cases. The most suitable test, but it loses a lot of information, seems to be the test of Mc Nemar. To see for later, on a sample of more important directions ...

Worsdale (5)

Natus, 3 septembre 1801

The time of the Birth of a Female, Bom in Lincoln, was given to me about five Years ago, by one of her Relatives, now living, who informed me, that I might rely on the correctness thereof; which was, September 3rd/# 1801, 0h|. 35m PM. From the following Figure of the Heavens, and the Directions; it is well known to many, that I foretold the time of the dissolution of this Native, which clearly demonstrate the essential use, power and sole dominion of the giver of Life, when property chosen acccording to the Rules I have given; but though the Sun is certainly the Prorogator in this Nativity, yet as some of the Directions that assisted in destroying the life of the Native, differ from the general precepts, and as these Examples clearly develope the true Terms of the Planets, in the most conspicuous manner, with their saving, and destroying power, I have taken the trouble, by true Calculation, to prove, that the Terms, which ought to be used, are wholly unconnected with any of those degrees in the Signs Of the Zodiac, which the pretenders to this Science sanction, and admire without examination. I have tried them all in the Calculation of several hundreds of Nativities, as they are erroneously given in the Works, of Ancient, and Modem Pirates, and have discovered, that there is no truth in them whatever; therefore as they are not to be depended on in any Computations, as they are now generally used, all those who rely on their assumed power, which cannot be demonstrated, will remain in a labyrinth of confusion, so long as they suffer any of those false, and ostentatious innovations, to operate as a barrier to their progress in this Celestial Study. [John Worsdale, Celestial philosophy, p. 133]

  • toutefois, l'antisce (i.e. // sans latitude) est de 251°41'16" Sagittarius ;

*  heure temporelle (= 1/6e Sad) ** distance horaire, superposable aux positions mondiales

A noter que l'on peut déjà avec ces éléments calculer la direction Placidus semi-arc :
  • directe : DHm (2.042) - DHf (0.39) x Htdm (13.275) = 21.936° ;
  • converse : DHm - DHf x Htdf (15.302) = 25.286°
