 VERMIGLI Pietro

Peter Martyr Vermigli (8 September 1499 – 12 November 1562) was an Italian-born Reformed theologian. His early work as a reformer in Catholic Italy and his decision to flee for Protestant northern Europe influenced many other Italians to convert and flee as well. In England, he influenced the Edwardian Reformation, including the Eucharistic service of the 1552 Book of Common Prayer. He was considered an authority on the Eucharist among the Reformed churches, and engaged in controversies on the subject by writing treatises. Vermigli's Loci Communes, a compilation of excerpts from his biblical commentaries organised by the topics of systematic theology, became a standard Reformed theological textbook.

Vermigli's health was already declining when he succumbed to an epidemic fever in 1562. He died 12 November 1562 in his Zürich home, attended by physician Conrad Gesner.

Astro-databank indicates a Gregorian date but it can only be a mistake: the date belongs to the Julian calendar with 9 days difference.

Pope Pius IV (31 March 1499 – 9 December 1565), born Giovanni Angelo Medici, was head of the Catholic Church and ruler of the Papal States from 25 December 1559 to his death in 1565. Born in Milan, his family considered itself a branch of the House of Medici and used the same coat of arms.
Death. December 9, 1565, Rome, of complications following an infection in the urinary tract and high fever. Buried in the patriarchal Vatican basilica; transferred to the church of S. Maria degli Angeli, Rome, on January 4, 1583.

Hooke Robert

 HOOKE Robert

Robert Hooke FRS (28 July [O.S. 18 July] 1635 – 3 March 1703) was an English natural philosopher, architect and polymath. "He was born at noon on July 18, 1635, in the village of Freshwater at the western end of the Isle of Wight."

Alfred J. Pearce mentions Hooke in 'Science of stars' (p. 87, xv. On the mind and disposition, 1881) ;  he recalls that 

'he lived xisty-eight years without attaching to himself a single human being, and died only to make room for his rival.' (id.)

Note the conjunction between Procyon and Mars (in REGIO domitude, respectively : 254.64 and  254.62) : denotes by tradition occult interests, restless, never remains long in one place, quarrels with friends, partners and employers.
Much has been written about the unpleasant side of Hooke's personality, starting with comments by his first biographer, Richard Waller, that Hooke was "in person, but despicable" and "melancholy, mistrustful, and jealous." Waller's comments influenced other writers for well over two centuries, so that a picture of Hooke as a disgruntled, selfish, anti-social curmudgeon dominates many older books and articles. For example, Arthur Berry said that Hooke "claimed credit for most of the scientific discoveries of the time." Sullivan wrote that Hooke was "positively unscrupulous" and possessing an "uneasy apprehensive vanity" in dealings with Newton. Manuel used the phrase "cantankerous, envious, vengeful" in his description. More described Hooke having both a "cynical temperament" and a "caustic tongue." Andrade was more sympathetic, but still used the adjectives "difficult", "suspicious", and "irritable" in describing Hooke. [quoted in wikipedia]. All of these character traits go well in the direction of strong MA with perhaps an increase due to Procyon proximity.

 I began some time ago to study directions on the local sphere, using Max Duval's method. The interest of this method is that the converses directions disappear, something impossible with any other method of direction (except the symbolic directions ...)

We see here the natal chart with Regiomontanus domification ; see the conjunction MA-SA and the conjunction SU-MO.

The direction on which to focus is : square VE conj {MA-SA} :

The theme is almost inverted, the zodiac being variable while the domification system is normalized.

These results have, I repeat, as origin, the very original work of Max DUVAL, in Les Moyens de pronostic en astrologie (Editions Traditionnelles, 1985). The diagram seen above is the most logical and simplest representation of a zodiacal converse direction from the concept of mobile primum (but the term converse but the term concept no longer exists in this figure... If we try to recognize this direction in the classic zodiac figure, this is what we get:

See the (m) square MA at 138.56° which gives a Regio domitude of 21.2. See now an other view of the local mundane direction :

We see that the PM is square MA and that the PF is VE.

Now take the year of death : 68 Y and convert to Naibod key: 4h 25 min. So, when the death occurs, time is : 1h 55 min the 17 of November. The natal chart becomes :

and we see that the Regio domitude of VE is : 22.17. Thus, it is perfectly understood that only the mobile primum is responsible so that the domitude of VE has become practically equal to the domitude of the square of MA.

for year 1934 : at this date, Ravel was already ill (recall : probably Corticobasal degeneration).

and we have the same indirect representation as Hindemith :

Note that hyleg is not easy to find in Ravel's natal chart ; it is not SU nor MO (cb) ; we purpose syzygy (NM) and the alchocoden is MA.

Notice the curious coincidence in the arrangement of the planets between the natal chart of Hindemith and Ravel (SU, MO, VE and JU).

Gradually, it seems to us that the best way to represent the natal chart is the mundane form. Without going over the uncertainty of the birth time of the nativity below (Henry II), it is instructive to examine the zodiacal parallels, especially those of MO, VE, and SU, in link with their conjunction with SA. For that, we take the Max DUVAL work and add a zodiacal representation that which allows to get an idea of an intuitive representation of the diurnal movement which is at the base of the primary directions: one realizes thus that certain primary directions (pronounced in particular by modern astrologers, are clearly meaningless).

It will not escape the reader that our attention has gradually focused on the mundane parallels with latitude. However, on examining the listing of directions in the Morinus software, we noticed disturbing coincidences between the time of onset of illness (or death) and zodiacal parallels involving quite specifically SU, MO and VE with SA and MA. . It therefore seemed useful to us to give some examples in order to examine as rigorously as possible this hypothesis concerning the zodiacal parallels (without latitude).

Renatus Chalonius

 René of Chalon (5 February 1519 – 15 July 1544), also known as Renatus of Chalon, was a Prince of Orange and stadtholder of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht and Gelre. In 1544, René took part in the siege of St. Dizier in the service of Emperor Charles V. He was mortally wounded in battle and died with the Emperor attending at his bedside. René was buried in Grote Kerk in Breda, near the resting-place of his infant daughter. A commemorative monument (Cadaver Tomb of René of Chalon) stands in the church of St. Etienne in Bar-le-Duc.

Here, we see the 'domitudes' according to the Campanus system. The directions are always represented by conjunctions. For instance Y = 28.26 with diff = 1.51. Recall that we can't properly saying that numeration is in 'degrees'. More properly, we can say that it is 'horary distance'.
