Pope Clement VIII (Latin: Clemens VIII; 24 February 1536 – 3 March 1605),
[Argoli, DDC, 152]
born Ippolito Aldobrandini, was Pope from 2 February 1592 to his death in 1605. Born into prominent Florentine family, he initially came to prominence as a canon lawyer before being made a Cardinal-Priest in 1585. In 1592 he was elected Pope and took the name of Clement. During his papacy he effected the reconciliation of Henry IV of France to the Catholic faith and was instrumental in setting up an alliance of Christian nations to oppose the Ottoman Empire in the so-called Long War. He also successfully adjudicated in a bitter dispute between the Dominicans and the Jesuits on the issue of efficacious grace and free will. In 1600 he presided over a jubilee which saw a large number of pilgrimages to Rome. He showed little pity for his perceived opponents, presiding over the trial and execution of Giordano Bruno and introducing harsh measures against Jewish inhabitants of the Papal States. He may have been the first pope to drink coffee. Clement VIII died at the age of 69 in 1605 and his remains now rest in the Santa Maria Maggiore.
1)- natal chart
If the Moon is in ANY angular house or a succedent house and in a feminine sign and
ANY of the four rulers of her degree (Rulership, Exaltation, Triplicity and Term) aspect her then she is the Hyleg. We see in this chart that MO is in ARIES (ruler, MA) and that she exchanges TRI with SA. But MO is in cadent house (IV). If we examine the ALMUTEN, MA and JU are equal. But, MO looks weak. Nevertheless, we find that MA is the ruler of MO : so it is probably the ALCOCODEN.
ME is the weakest star (PISCES) and MA (CANCER) has a low score that is increased only by its disposition in triplicity of water. We see equally that SA is detrimental, due to its location in LEO.

b)- elected Roman Catholic pope on 1/30/1592
Here we have to find the direction MC opp VE (hence the conj of VE with IC).
D = |AR(VE)-ts -180| = 58.2° (1594.2). If we change the time of birth, by removing 6 min, we find an arc of 56.07 °.
c)- illness and death
Clement VIII was afflicted by gout, and was forced to spend much of his later life immobilized in bed. He died in March 1605, leaving a reputation for prudence, munificence, ruthlessness and capacity for business. It is possible that soon in 1594, with the the direction opp MA conj SU, Clement VIII has been affected by this disease.
The direction is : C MO opp MA (mundane direct, that is zodiacal converse for Morinus)

The year is 1604.77. We have 2 directions (Regio-Campa and Placidus).
We have another direction : a classical direction in the event of a death SA opp ASC.
D = |OA(ASC) - OA (SA)| = |267.8-33.86| = 66.06° (1602). If we subtract 6 min (ARMC = 174°56' instead of 177°56'), we find 68.13° (1604.1).
