Wallenstein, Albrecht von

Wallenstein, Albrecht von

(24 September 1583 – 25 February 1634), also von Waldstein, was a Bohemian military leader and an Imperial Count Palatine, who offered his services and an army of 30,000 to 100,000 men to Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor during the Thirty Years' War (1618–48). He became the supreme commander of the armies of the Habsburg Monarchy and was a major figure of the Thirty Years' War.

Morin de Villefranche, Astrologia gallica, XVII, sect. II, cap. 2, p. 402

After his arrival at Cheb, certain senior Scottish and Irish officers in his force assassinated him on the night of February 25. To carry out the assassination, a regiment of dragoons under the command of an Irish colonel, Walter Butler and the Scots colonels Walter Leslie and John Gordon first fell upon Wallenstein's trusted officers Adam Trczka, Vilém Kinsky, Christian Illov and Henry Neumann while the latter attended a feast at Cheb Castle (which had come under the command of Gordon himself), and massacred them. Trczka alone managed to fight his way out into the courtyard, only to be shot down by a group of musketeers. A few hours later, an Irish captain, Walter Devereux, together with a few companions, broke into the burgomaster's house at the main square where Wallenstein had his lodgings (again courtesy of Gordon), and kicked open the bedroom door. Devereux then ran his halberd through the unarmed Wallenstein, who, roused from sleep, is said to have asked in vain for quarter [wikipedia]

I. Natal chart

I opted for the birth time given in Astrodients; that of Morin is 16:50.
We see once more time  a square between MO and SU. Mo is opposite to ME, JU. Ruler of ASC is SA, ruler of MC is JU. ALMUTEN is SA.

SU is debilitated (LIB) and MO exile(CAP). According to Lilly, ALMUTEN is MA. VE (SCO) and MA (LIB) are also debilitated.

So, we must consider the directions of MO and SU, relatively at SA and MA.

II. Primary directions

A. SA conj MO

1. parameters

Observe the SA longitude ; originally it is 349.024° PIS ; if we take the Duval's method of finding latitude, we have first to compute the Campanus domitude of SA with latitude (- 2.423°).

-dom SA cum latitudine = 10.864°.

Then, we find the new longitude without latitude :

- L (SA) = 356.79° PIS.

and from now on, all aspects of SA will have to be searched for with this modified longitude (and without latitude).
Observe that we SA (with new longitude) possess a 'confined' latitude. MO is without latitude (in zodiaco) as it is significator (recall : by 'custom', significator in zodiaco has not latitude... ). The mean node of SA is computed for other works (☊ = 79°).

As SA is promissor, we will not use MO's proper movement.

D. #MA conj SU (mirror direction)

1. parameters

It should be noted that the planetary nodes which are calculated are only the reflection of the maximum inclination i, in the sense of Morin de Villefranche. in no case are these 'real' geocentric nodes. For instance, the graphic hereunder is an example of determination of maximum latitude for MA.

 D --> Z C Regio-Campa EQU orb 0.17.

It is a mirror direction of  #SU conj MA. Observe that there was not only a translational movement, as shown by the differences in longitude between MA and SU.
