Louis VIII of France
My attention was drawn to this article by Emmanuel Poulle [The date of birth of Louis VIII, Bibliothèque de l'École des chartes, Année 1987 145-2, pp. 427-430] in which the date of birth of Louis VIII is specified with perhaps an hour of birth, corresponding to the 10th hour (or about 5h PM of our current time) :
where we read:
nativitas reguli IIIa die septembris, hora Xa, sole existente in XVIII ° gradu virginis, ascendente XIIII ° gradu aquarii. (fol. 2)
The birth date (Greg cal) is : 1187 september 11 ~17h pm (long 02°20' - lat 48°N52')
ALMUTEN
SPECULUM
As we can see, the value of almuten should be considered with caution: ME is cb and retrograde. However, it is in Exn and its celestial value is positive. MO is also cb (we also note an eclipse which E. Poulle tells us it occurred on September 4, 1187) :
Finally, note that the worst planet is MA; it is peregrine which can, according to tradition, somewhat diminish its usual fatal character.
RAYS
Please note that ME is cb and therefore impeded.
PARALLELS
See for instance : https://www.qhdc.org/parallel.htm on parallels and modern bibliography.
As you see, conj. are two parallels and both aspects ; but not // (parallel relative to MC|FC axis) and # (contra-parallel relative to ASC|DSC axis).
The difficulty is how to interpret the meaning of a similar or opposite declination; it seems that in certain diseases, what I have called parallel mundane directions in "echo" is highlighted.
HYLEG and ALCHOCODEN
Also called: alcocoden, alcochoden, colcodea, kadhkudah (non-exhaustive list). the table below lists the hyleg and the alchocoden specifying the possible lifespan. Age is calculated based on the time equation. The arguments are presented in tables which enable the judgment to be based on the justified choice of the hyleg and his ruler. The term of ruler is summary, the alchocoden being generally more difficult to determine than a simple sign ruler.
We see synthesis by Dorotheus [from Carmen Astrologicum III], Alcabitius [from Introduction to Astrology, differentia quarta] and Ptolemy [Tetrabiblos, 3.10].Bonatti's determination has been added, but it does not appear explicitly on this table (Liber Astronomiae, 1550, de nativitatibus tractatus, cap 1-6, col 672-687). Note: in general, it seems that Ptolemy has essentially undertaken only a review on the chapter of lifespan; he says much less than Alcabitius on the subject.
For this case : MO is hyleg, but weak, relatively to SU cb. ME is alchocoden.
PRIMARY DIRECTIONS
Louis VIII (5 September 1187 – 8 November 1226), byname The Lion (French: Le Lion), was King of France from 1223 to 1226. From 1216 to 1217, he also claimed to be King of England (as Louis I). Louis was the only surviving son of King Philip II of France by his first wife, Isabelle of Hainaut, from whom he inherited the County of Artois. King Louis VIII became ill with dysentery, and died on 8 November 1226 in the Château de Montpensier, Auvergne. Louis VIII just headed the new crusade. His army assembled at Bourges in May 1226. While the exact number of troops present is unknown, it was certainly the largest force ever sent against the Cathars. It set out in June 1226
