FOUCAULT Michel

Michel Foucault (15 October 1926 – 25 June 1984) , was a French philosopher, historian of ideas, social theorist, and literary critic.

Foucault died in Paris of neurological problems compounded by HIV/AIDS; he became the first public figure in France to die from the disease. We must have in mind that AIDS is an infectious entity marked by several stages, including having passed the phase of primary infection, a free interval of several years, before the opportunistic infections responsible for death issue, can go from 4 to 10 years. It should not be forgotten that the first cases of AIDS were diagnosed around June 1981 (pneumocystis), which implies that the contamination was carried out five years (on average) before.
