CAROLUS V

HIERONYMI CARDANI - DE EXEMPLIS CENTUM GENITURARUM

VII

  CAROLUS V(1500-1558)

See Charles V.

  • HYLEG MO (I)
  • ASC CAPRI, ruler SA
  • ALCHOCODEN JU
  • ANAERETE SA, (MA)
Morinus gives ME for ALMUTEN. However, we consider that ME is detrimental, as is the MO and MA.

CAROLUS V was possibly affected by malaria, as evidenced by the comments of F. Mignet (Charles V, his abdication, etc.). Paulin, 1854, chap. VIII]. The Emperor retired towards the end of his life at Yuste, a place lost on the frontiers of Extremadura and Old Castile. He built a residence there near a convent of Hieronymites. There he died of malaria in 1558, after attending his own (anticipated) funeral, which for the Church constitutes a mortal sin. But the Emperor, all his life, has flogged himself to the point of blood, in a spirit of expiation. The agony lasted 21 days, the death occurred on September 21, 1558, around 2 am.

1)- I begin with the direction C opp SA conj MO. For convenience, it is easier to direct SA opposition rather than MO opposition.

The table indicates the presence of three primary zodiacal and mundane directions. No direction is observed with fictitious methods. For recall, see statistic start here.

2)- then, I continue with the direction of SA opp ASC.

The significator is SA; the arc of direction is given by:

OA (SA) - OA (ASC) +360 = 57.67 °.

It must be understood that in this case, it is not the ASC that is directed; one can only direct SA through a converse arc. The direction is thus written: C SA conj DSC.
